Alongside colorectal care
Dr Tarr offers haemorrhoid artery embolisation (the Emborrhoid technique), a day-case, image-guided option for bleeding haemorrhoids that avoids an anal wound and the associated pain of conventional surgery.
It suits patients with bleeding-predominant disease, those on anticoagulation, or those who wish to avoid surgical recovery. Dr Tarr is glad to co-manage and to refer on where surgery is more appropriate.
Electronic referrals are received via Medical-Objects, address to Tarr Radiology (Dr Gregory Tarr). Referrals can also be faxed or emailed to reception.
For the Medicare rebate on your patient's consultation and treatment, a referral must be signed and dated and include the patient's details and your provider number. A standard GP referral lasts 12 months; specialist referrals, 3 months.
