For women's health

Dr Tarr works alongside gynaecologists and women's health GPs to offer uterus-preserving, image-guided options, not to replace surgical care, but to widen the choices available to your patients.

Embolisation suits women who want to avoid or defer surgery, who are poor surgical candidates, or who wish to preserve the uterus. Dr Tarr is always glad to co-manage and to refer back where surgery is the better path.

How to refer

Sending a referral

Electronic referrals are received via Medical-Objects, address to Tarr Radiology (Dr Gregory Tarr). Referrals can also be faxed or emailed to reception.

For the Medicare rebate on your patient's consultation and treatment, a referral must be signed and dated and include the patient's details and your provider number. A standard GP referral lasts 12 months; specialist referrals, 3 months.

Closing the loop

  • Your patient is offered an unhurried consultation in Brisbane or Ipswich
  • Dr Tarr confirms suitability and discusses all options, including surgical and conservative ones
