For urologists & GPs

Dr Tarr complements urological care with image-guided, minimally invasive options, prostate artery embolisation for men who wish to avoid surgery or are not ideal surgical candidates, and varicocele embolisation through a pinhole.

Referrals for assessment are welcome from GPs and urologists alike. You do not need to be a specialist to refer. Dr Tarr will confirm suitability, keep you informed, and is glad to co-manage with a urology service where one is involved.

How to refer

Sending a referral

Electronic referrals are received via Medical-Objects, address to Tarr Radiology (Dr Gregory Tarr). Referrals can also be faxed or emailed to reception.

For the Medicare rebate on your patient's consultation and treatment, a referral must be signed and dated and include the patient's details and your provider number. A standard GP referral lasts 12 months; specialist referrals, 3 months.
